The American activist Carol Rosin is raising money to travel the world in order to get nation leaders to sign her treaty about banning space based weapons. Rosin worked with the German rocket scientist Wernher von Braun in the 70s. He allegedly warned that there were forces within the military industrial complex who wanted to weaponise space in the future. Former airforce General from Chile, Ricardo Bermudez, spoke at the International UFO Congress in Scottsdale, Arizona in February 2012. He presented photos from an air-show in 2010, where a metallic disc-shaped object allegedly can be seen. Bermudez is of the opinion that the study of the UFO-phenomenon is important and that an organisation for investigating the matter should be created within the framework of the UN. The British police officer Gary Heseltine who visited us in November 2011 was on ITV's This Morning on February 9th 2012. He stressed that the evidence in connection with a small percentage of the UFO-sightings is so strong that it points to an extraterrestrial presence. The Vatican's astronomer José Funes will participate in a workshop about life in the universe on May 21-22 2012: Extraterrestrial Life – Beyond our Expectations? The event is hosted by the research platform ExoLife at the University of Vienna. On the agenda are the social consequences of discovering alien life.
